Dear Families,
Today we made personal connections to our read aloud book about snow. We were reminded that:
1. Snow stays on the ground.
2. Snow does not belong to us.
In writing we brainstormed several words to create our acrostic poems PEACE. We then completed our own acrostic poems. There were many positive and uplifting words.
In math, we continued with practicing the number of the day. Using the number of the day we answer a variety of number questions to provide us with the opportunity to expand our understanding of number. As the year progresses, we will have change the task we do with the number of the day. We also learned a new game.
We sent home a blue form for parents about the upcoming parent council event. Please read and RSVP to the email provided on the paper.
Thank you to those who already have sent their demographic forms back. This allows the school to have consistent and correct communication with families.
Have a wonderful evening!
Mrs. Hordyk and Mr. MacKenzie
