Hello All,
Sorry this is a day late! Yesterday was busy, busy, busy! Your children learned how to use dialogue in their writing with greater efficacy. They've substituted "said" with a number of other words that are more descriptive and relevant.
We've also continued building some beautiful artwork where students are using watercolour paints to create landscapes and exploring horizon, forground, and background.
Our class has a new greeting song. The song is, What a Wonderful World by Louis Armstrong. Students will hear this song as they enter the class and are expected to have their things away and to be reading to themselves by the end. The picture book cover and a link to Goodreads is above, the video is linked below, and the lyrics are even further down. If you have a chance, feel free to read through they lyrics with your children, it is a wonderful song with a beautiful message.
We hope you have an outstanding evening and a great weekend with your kids!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Hordyk
Mr. MacKenzie
