Hello,
We had quite the busy day today beginning with our reading of Ticket Curlew. In the book, Sam read his poem to the audience at the school Christmas concert. I'm sure that learners can tell their family about the highlights of the concert and the challenge that Sam encountered with his performance. Learners also engaged with a "Working Session" in their Literature Circles and are nearly complete with each of their roles. Learners also nearly completed their decimals Snakes and Ladders games as well - there were some exciting games happening. I wonder if learners have any math-based games at home they could challenge their family members with?
Learners spent a part of the the afternoon with putting the "finishing touches" on their Visual Journal entries for the Bike Stations that are now complete. The other part of the afternoon was spent researching their social studies topics. I think that learners could tell their family members some details about their topics.
Thanks,
Mr. Smith.
