This week started with a "Bang!" and a whole bunch of "Twangs!". Students brought in their home-made instruments and eagerly showed off their creations. Their ability to change the pitch and to describe how/why the it changed was the most impressive. In science we are constantly asking students to use the word "because" in their conclusions so that they can develop their own theories and show their understanding.
Tomorrow is an important day for our writing as we continue going through the writing process for our fifth repeat-writing task. Students will be writing about peace, asking: "Have you seen peace?"
Students had the option to take home Scholastic orders today, please be advised that they are due Friday of this week. Also, parent teacher interviews are this upcoming Thursday and Friday, please book a spot if you have not had a chance!
Have an excellent evening, Mrs. Hordyk and I are going to be relaxing in the quiet tonight as 50 homemade instruments may have caused permanent damage!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Hordyk
Mr. MacKenzie
