What causes light? How do our eyes respond to bright/dark situations? How does our eye work? These are all questions that students asked this morning as we went through our introductory work to Light and Shadows. The students talked about things that are transparent and opaque. They illustrated, wrote about, and described both.
In Math we continued our work on Multiplication. The students played with numbers as they found patterns on the hundreds chart for multiples. They then played the multiples game with the number 7 (the pattern was still visible on the board). For this game, students in a group took turns counting. If the number is a multiple of 7, they had to clap. If they didn't clap, they were out until the end of the round. The game was really hard, but absolutely fun.
Question of the day: What are the multiples of 7, up to 70?
