Hello,
Today we finished chapter 7 of Ticket to Curlew. Sam and his brother, made it back home safe and sound after nearly being lost out on the prairies. Perhaps learners could share some predictions about the events that may arise in the next chapters...
Learners made a great start on the Social Studies timeline today. The survey forms that were previously completed with parents were used. Learners collated and presented details pertaining to their historical event on index cards that are being organized on the Grade 4 historical timeline. Learners will be investigating further into a particular historical event this week and preparing a presentation in a choice of different formats.
Learners did further work in math today with adding decimal numbers. This work will be helpful for our Bicycle Stations activity that includes measurement, both weight and length. This afternoon, we rotated to the next bicycle station and I am sure that learners will have lots of updates to share with their family members regarding the intriguing work that was done!
Have a great afternoon!
Mr. Smith.
