We're starting to get back into routine. Quest is finished, and there aren't any significant interruptions this week. Thanks to those who came out to cheer our kids on as they conquered their stage fright and performed admirably!
We're all over the place in math at this point. As teachers, it is our responsibility to make sure students understand the material. If they don't get it, we revisit it. As such, one group has blasted towards data collection and representation, one is working nearing the end of a fraction project, and one is starting fractions. From analyzing traffic patterns to playing and developing games, our students are fully engaged in learning math from a practical perspective!
Speaking of practical, we're still working with our students on writing their stories. They are all nearly finished with their planning and rough copies. Students are going to share their stories with peers and make the appropriate corrections and enhancements. When this is finished we'll throw the stories online you can see the outstanding progress they've made!
Upcoming Dates:
June 2 - Bike to School - Across the CBE, students will be encouraged to bike to school. Please have your child's name on their helmet and on their bike. More details to come.
Question of the Day:
Looking at the picture below, how much pizza is left? How much as been eaten?
