Canstruction
Evergreen School will be participating once again in the annual Canstruction® event in December for the Calgary Food Bank. Our grade four class has taken on the challenge to think like engineers, designers, architects and builders to create an extraordinary structure all out of cans of food which, after judging, will be then de-canstructed, with all food going to the Calgary Food Bank.
This year’s theme is nature. The grade 4 design team has decided to extend their learning about the regions of Alberta and build a model of the Rocky Mountains. In order to make their vision come true, they are looking for canned and boxed food donations. Specifically, they are looking for:
· Catelli 500g spaghetti
· Blue menu cans (Superstore)
· Bottled water with blue lids
· Del Monte green cans
· Great Value white canned foods
· Clover Leaf Flaked White Tuna – black label
All food donations are gratefully accepted and can be dropped off at the school office anytime next week. Thank you for your support of this project which in turn will go to support needy Calgarians.
