Today the students were introduced to "Wasfunnyonce". Wasfunnyonce is a super villain that stops kids from recognizing if their surroundings are "silly" or "serious". Examples of serious situations include bullying, learning time, work periods, etc. During those times, students discussed how it would be inappropriate to be goofy or silly. We also talked about facial expressions and body language to help kids recognize when their joking is making someone else feel uncomfortable. Learning about Wasfunnyonce should help students build positive relationships with their peers.
We continued our work with perimeter and applied it to an art and colour study. Next week, students are going to be cutting shapes that they made and glueing them together to create stain glass windows.
Question of the Day:
How many quadrilaterals with a perimeter of 24cm did you make?
