Students are starting to progress in their spelling abilities. They are clearly beginning to spell their challenging words correctly, and they are continuing to take chances in their writing. We are still working with students to try to sound out and spell words that they aren't completely sure how to spell. If they start doing this, we can really get a sense of what they know, what vocabulary they are using, and how they are sounding out/wordsmithing difficult words.
Speaking of difficulty, we've (Mrs. Hordyk and I) got a planning meeting with some artists in residence that will be working with the grade 3s in the upcoming months! We are very excited to build our professional repertoire of integrating art while having the kids make some extremely wonderful artwork in the process!
Have an outstanding weekend - we look forward to seeing everyone bright and early Monday morning!
