** If you can volunteer for our trip to the Glenbow on May 6, please send an email to Mrs. Hordyk immediately - We still require 4 more! **
In our morning meeting today, we took the students around the world as we graphed the temperature from the countries we are studying. The kids were very interested in the temperatures as they learned about each place. India has increased by 16 degrees Celsius, while Calgary continues to be the coldest out of the 5 countries. Lima is decreasing in temperature, all of the others are increasing. This could be an interesting discussion around the dinner table!
Students completed their spelling tests today, and found new words to work on for next week. The kids are becoming increasingly impressive in their independence as they find a partner, take their spelling test, hand it in, and move to their independent tasks. Today they were asked to complete their Mathletics homework.
Please be aware of the following events for next week:
Tuesday, April 28: Field Trip forms due
Tuesday, April 28: Artist in residence in the PM
Wednesday, April 29: Photo Day
Thursday, April 30: Artist in residence in the PM
Thursday, April 30: Occupational therapist in the PM
Question of the Day:
What was a school-related problem you solved independently this week?
