Food Colouring in Pop Bottles:
We had a hot bottle and a cold bottle. We put hot water in one an scold wader in one. Then we put food coloring in both. We saw which absorbed the food colouring the fastest.
Results:
For the hot one, when we put the food coloring in, it spread at the top and leaked down as it was spreading at the same time.
For the cold one: When we put the food coloring in, the drops just dropped in the shape and exploded at the bottom. It started at the bottom up.
The reason:
When the molecules turn hot they move and spread faster. But in the cold water the molecules don't move or spread as fast.
