Flora's mother told Flora's father that she was okay with having Uysses in the house and Flora's father told Flora. Flora could not believe that her mother would act that way. Flora's mother reads some words on Ulysses's list. He made and is not impressed expect for the last part "I promise to always turn back toward you". Just then, Tootie came at the door and called "Yoo-hoo". Soon it was dinner time and Flora's mother insisted that Ulysses should have a seat at the dinner table. When it was time to go to bed, Flora told Ulysses not to go downstairs but when Flora was dreaming, Ulysses went downstairs. Then when Ulysses was typing, Flora's mother snuck up behind Ulysses and forced him to write a letter to Flora.
Why would Flora's mother want to kidnap Ulysses?
